Four Orlando, Florida Attractions worth Checking Out

Orlando Florida Attractions

Orlando, Florida is a popular tourist destination because of the many attractions located in the area. Many people cite Walt Disney World and Universal Studios as the two main reasons as to why they wanted to travel to Orlando in the first place. However, there are several other amusement parks and related attractions that are worth checking out as well. The four listed here consist of a vast array of different activities and have something for everyone.

1) Aquatica by Sea World, 5800 Water Play Way, Orlando, FL 32821

Aquatica is an outdoor water park that is owned and operated by Sea World. The Aquatica in Orlando, Florida has several different types of waterslides, including the Dolphin Plunge and Tassie’s Twisters. There is also a section of rapids, a shallow water pool for wading, and a surf area, plus a beach and a place to eat – the Banana Beach Buffet. They also offer swimming lessons by the week, and have a number of group packages available to choose from.

2) Legoland, 1 Legoland Way, Winter Haven, FL 33884

Legoland is in the Orlando area, although outside of the city itself. The 150 acre park is worth the trip, however, as it has a number of different things to do for children between the ages of 2 and 12. The park is broken up into different sections, each with a different theme and matching activities. These include Fun Town, which has a Lego factory that can be toured, as well as a theater and a number of restaurants; Land of Adventure, where roller coasters and other classic amusement park rides can be found; and the Imagination Zone, which features an area where kids can build Lego robots and other creations.

3) WonderWorks, 9067 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819

Everything about WonderWorks is unusual and fun. From the upside down structure to the many different learning activities, there is something for kids of all ages – even adult “kids!” There’s a bubble lab, which is exactly what it sounds like; a giant piano that can be hopped on; a replica of the Mercury space capsule that you can go inside of; an illusion gallery, a Tesla coil, a bed of nails, and much more. Plus, there’s a 4-D theater, a ropes course and laser tag. It’s impossible to be bored at WonderWorks.

4) Gatorland, 14501 S Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32837

Gatorland consists of 70 acres of – you guessed it – alligators. While there, you can take a tour of the alligator breeding marsh, go on the Screamin’ Gator Zip Line (as long as you fall within the height and weight requirements) , see one of the many alligator shows, or wait until dark and take the guided night tour of the grounds. If you or your kids like alligators, then you’re in the right place!

These are just four of the many attractions in Orlando, Florida. While some of them are for younger kids, others are for just about everyone. With this many different options, you’ll no doubt find something to do each day that you’re on vacation.
