Although Orlando, Florida is mainly known as the best place to vacation with children, thanks to Universal Studios and Walt Disney World; it does have a vibrant night life designed for adults. Clubs, bars, and unique destinations that you won’t really find anywhere else are among the many different types of night life in the city of Orlando. Maybe one of these four will end up your list of places to go.
1) Orlando Improv, 9101 International Drive, Suite 2310, Pointe Orlando, Orlando, FL 32819
The Orlando Improv is a part of the nationwide chain of Improv clubs. Other locations include New York and Phoenix. Like those clubs, the Orlando Improv is a 21-and over facility with a fairly relaxed dress code. Comedians are scheduled to appear mainly on weekends, with the occasional Wednesday showcase. Some of the many comedians who have appeared on the Orlando Improv’s stage include D.L. Hughley, Pablo Francisco and Bruce Bruce. Tickets are available in advance or at the door, and the full dining menu has plenty of things to munch on while waiting for the show to begin.
2) Corona Cigar Company Cigar Bar (and Superstore), 7792 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando, FL 32819
If you’re a cigar aficionado, then you’ll most likely enjoy a trip to the Corona Cigar Company’s Superstore. However, while you’re there, make sure to stop at the Cigar Bar. The Cigar Bar is open until midnight on most nights, and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, making it a great place to relax and kick back with a cigar in one hand and an alcoholic beverage in the other. The Corona Cigar Company has over 2 million different types of cigars in stock – including vintage Havana cigars, straight from Cuba before the embargo was put into place.
3) 23, 23 West Church Street, Orlando, FL 32801
23 is a club located in downtown Orlando that specializes in providing its guests with a unique VIP-like experience. The interior is decorated with plenty of shiny, finished wood, plush leather chairs, and plenty of red accents – just what those seeking a little bit of the 1% are looking for. The club has a DJ come in and spin the latest dance music on Wednesdays, and is staffed with plenty of attentive and well-trained employees who will make sure that you are comfortable, that your drink is always full, and that you receive the attention that a VIP would.
4) ICEBAR Orlando, 8967 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819
ICEBAR is something that you will never forget. Never mind the hot, tropical Orlando weather – inside ICEBAR, it is 27 degrees. (Don’t worry – you’ll be provided with a thermal cape and some gloves.) The drinks are cold, and the 50 tons worth of ice sculptures are even colder. Once you’re ready to warm up, head over to the Fire Lounge, where dance music, DJs, and bottle service await.
Night life in Orlando is varied. There is a bar decorated with ice sculptures, one that sells cigars and premium drinks, and several others to choose from. The ones on this list comprise the top four hot spots in the Orlando area – there is bound to be something here for everyone.
