Fort Delaware Museum of Colonial History. Come and enjoy the roots of Sullivan county history when you visit The 1765 Fort Delaware Museum of Colonial History on scenic route 97 in Narrowsburg NY. Costumed interpreters depict the life and lifestyles of the first European settlers in the Upper Delaware river valley. The replica of the fortification is based on the original Cushetunk settlement. Today’s Fort represents the development of the settlement over a thirty year period. The original settlers were farmers who came primarily from central Connecticut and were of English descent. They were searching for more land because it had become too crowded in Connecticut to suit colonial farming techniques. Demonstrations include candle making, black smithing, spinning, weaving, gardening homemaking and more in three rustic cabins. Hear a blast from the past from our two pound colonial cannon. There is also a picnic pavilion, modern restrooms, gift shop, and handicap accessibility. Something different every weekend including lectures, programs and demonstrations for all ages. Bring the kids to experience settlement colonial games and toys.

Friday, Saturday & Monday : 10 am to 5:00 pm (last tour at 4:00 pm)
And Sunday Hours: 12 Noon to 5:00 pm (last tour at 4:00 pm.)
