About Savo's Pizza & Family Restaurant

Mike Savokinas and his brother Ray opened Savo's Pizza in 1964. The closely -guarded pizza recipe was originated by the two brothers, mother Madeline and their brother-in-law, Jasper Butera. Mike and his wife, George, and their sons, work at the restaurant six days a week, so it is a family business for sure. Savo's moved into the former Pittston Plaza in 1971 and are one of the oldest pizza shops in the Wyoming Valley, serving customers from Luzerne and Lackawanna counties and beyond.

Savo's Pizza & Family Restaurant still specializes in awesome pizza and hot wings, but also offers a full menu to satisfy any taste. They also have a large selection of alcoholic beverages to make a meal complete. Savo's Pizza & Family Restaurant may have been in business since the 60's but are certainly in the digital age with their phone app and online ordering option. BTW, they also deliver!
