Rob Sponsel and his wife Fran Sponsel fell in love with the art of Tiki while celebrating their engagement in Hawaii. Rob became fascinated with the Tiki Gods and their place in Hawaiian mythology. He studied the legends and myths surrounding them, and the history of the Polynesian culture.

Then one day the stars aligned, and the opportunity to open Totally Tiki Torches in historic Smithville, NJ fell into Rob's hands. Without hesitation, Rob and Fran became the owners of a business they already knew they loved.

One night while hanging out and drinking beer, a unique recycling idea hit Rob. After hundreds of hours perfecting them, and many nights filled with trial and error, Bottle Tikis came to be. Devising a unique compound which provides durability, wind, sun and rain resistance, Bottle Tikis provide a cool looking, decorative and useful item every backyard needs.
