About Whitewater Challengers

Whitewater Challengers is a nearby (Carbon County) Outdoor Adventure Center offering guided rafting trips, bike rentals, paintball games, zipline rides, disc golf, and a full range of camping and bunkhouse overnight accommodations. An on-site food service offers buffet breakfast, box lunches for river trips, and dinner buffets most weekend nights. A souvenir photo service prints photos of your raft in the rapids, and an outdoor store carries souvenir shirts, caps, and a range of outdoor/camping gear and clothing.

Now in its 38th season, Whitewater Challengers has taken more than 1.6 million guests on more than 16 million miles of whitewater rafting trips since 1975. The Lehigh River is the most popular destination, but rafting trips are also available on the Hudson River, Black River, Moose River and Salmon River in upstate New York.

Named "Green Company of the Year" in 2011, Whitewater Challengers participates in a broad range of environmentally-friendly programs and practices. A portion of every trip ticket is donated to Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Make a Wish Foundation, or organizations that support the families of returning US military veterans.
